We were trying to make funny pictures for a gift for grandma and grandpa Chabot. It didn't work very well, but here are some of the results.

Christmas

We had a great Christmas. We spent it here with our little family and got to continue with our favorite traditions. We made a gingerbread house (well, we decorated one, I'm not up for making one yet), we decorated the tree, we made cookies for our friends, we had a Christmas Eve party with our close extended family and Grandma and PopPop Crowe spent the night and were here for Christmas morning. On Christmas day we were able to visit Great-Grandmom Crowe and go to Grandmom and PopPop Crowes for a nice dinner.
We all had a really nice time. The kids loved playing with their cousins and it was so fun to watch Addison and Abrielle play together.

Toddler Bed from H- - -

I needed help this morning! I got a toddler bed for Abby and was putting it together by myself, and lets just say, it wasn't going well. I was sweating and claustrophobic and I even cursed. Not a great mommy moment for me either. I took a break (after realizing that I put the railing I'd been struggling with on upside down) and decided I may not be able to do it myself. I decided to at least take it back apart (those stupid hexagon bolts and little wrenches are awful!) while trying not to hurt my raw hands anymore. I found some gumption and kept going from there. I finally did get it together after being inspired to tape all the slats together so I could get the other side on (there were all these dowels that had to fit in the tiny holes!). I really miss Josh. . .

Trick or Treating

Kitty and Unicorn all ready to go out!
I would stare too. . .

Alex was already gone in the previous photos, this one's from the church trunk or treat, Abby was a cheerleader (she refused to wear the other costume).

Halloween

Amber and her jack-0-lantern
fun stuff!
Alex and Ethan, working hard
Abby, getting the icky goo out of her pumpkin

We had a great Halloween. We started with Pumpkin carving and then we went to Cheeseburger Cheeseburger for lunch. We got dressed up and Alex went Trick or Treating with Ethan (AKA "neighbor"). I took Amber and Abby, but Amber found some friends and took off with them because Abby only made it to the end of the street. I got to carry her home. Alex and Amber Lee got a TON of candy (yay?)

my Parents and NAMI

To write or not to write, that is the question. . .

I have read other blogs and been amused and inspired to write my own. But I am just not that interesting! I don't think of cute and witty things to say. I write, as my mom would say, "just the facts, Ma'am". And since I have no memory at present, that's not going too well either! oh, well. I have other talents, writing is not one of them.

Abby's first pigtails!

Isn't she cute?. . . OK, so I forgot to rotate this one, so she's standing on her head

Utah trip

Here we are melting at Heritage Park. Alex is busy spreading sunshine as you can see.

On the right top is Alyssa and Tara at one of the geysers at Yellowstone. bottom right, Amber Lee and Abby on the train at Hogle Zoo. We had so much fun in Utah! Alex still asks to go back every few days. He says that he'd rather go visit family in Utah than go to Hershey Park or anywhere else. We went to Heritage park, Camping in Yellowstone, Bear World, the Dinosaur museum at Thanksgiving Point, Hogle Zoo, and Seven Peaks water park. Wish Daddy could have been there too!

Daring Baby!

Abby Climbs the big slide!
She's the most daring of my children, she is determined to go down the slide. Amber Lee helped her get up the tube to the slide and then she went down by herself.

Buddy Walk

On May 18 we went to Delaware University to participate in the Down Syndrome Association Buddy walk. There was a great turnout--until it rained, hard! We were there to support my nephew Collin who has Down Syndrome. We were the Pirates of the Collibean. We were given T-shirts and props and Collin rode in a pirate ship.
